FInal Indian Rap

It’s chapatti and I’ll cry if I want to
Eg do ti this is Hindu not Urdu
Mumbai airport gonna sleep on the floor
7 bloody hours till I fly to Bangalore
From Rich to Poor Bangalore no more
Elation, deprivation, constipation what a bore
Only drinking bottley water
Going south I think I oughter
Where the beaches are fine and the spirit divine
Nothing could be slower than to be right here in Goa
Where it’s hot and you rock
And you think you smoking weed and you think you having fun
But you sitting on the beach and you smoking COW dung
And it’s hot and you rock
Hello lady buy from me Karnatake Jewellery
You give me 10 rupee ”Come on lady don’t be so cheapie!”
When in India you gotta play the game
“Hello Aunty vot is your Name”
Vot is your name?
Vot is your name?
Then you ask me “vere do you come from”
Please no more just meditate and say Aum….Om
I say Om….
I dreamed of a bed with no back pain
I thought of a toilet never squat again
Is dharma part of karma
Is the ceiling of desire to kneel and then aspire
Faith in God faith in me first devotion then divinity
I say Om Om
Shanti Shanti satya prema
Rather be devotee then a Western dreamer
I say Om Om
Shiva Shiva Shanti Shanti
Call me Shagananda Diva Eva Spimanti
Om I say Om
Eg do ti char punch, don’t have the shits have rice for lunch
I say Om Om
Kanyakamari cause I gotta see the shrine
Cause I got to get the train but it’s never on time
I see the Budda, the Budda sees me gotta meditate cause I want to be free
He’s so old, oh so bold, dressed in gold, yes I’m sold I say Om

Back in London

There is no sight....the sun is shining...the shops are closing.....the first night in Portobello ( staying in my old flat, with my old friend and her husband) I thought I was on the boat in Hong Kong. I was sea sick....I was so tired...so cold...and completely disorientated. I had done so much in 4 months that I couldn't really talk about it...where do you begin. Those that read the blog, didn't even ask me about my trip they knew it better than I did...they had even had discussions as to whether I should have done what I did, when I did....so bizarre...it is like travelling and being so obsessed with taking photographs that you forget to experience the moment. I also can't get into my house till the end of the month so I am sort of on holiday in London...the first morning back I went to the National Portrait Gallery with friends Marsha and Andy to see an exhibition by Jill Edelstein...I loved being back and having that feeling that I was seeing the best that culture had to offer...London's West End in the sunlight, grand buildings and tourists......familiarity...(how long would this phase last)......by the 2nd day I was contemplating going to a wedding in Israel....I just feel like prolonging the travelling till I am really at home.
MONEY no object...the ashrams tell you to hand it over, there is a big bank at the corner of Universe Street...you just ask to be provided for and if your heart is in the right place, they hand the money over. So I am up and waiting for a sign...if I see a Rabbi on a motorcycle I am going...very simple philosophy..it is called breaking the barriers ...walking towards the fear....I have today to making a booking to Tel a viv or not!!! ....

The End in sight

Is it true, the end of my 4month trip is in sight. Tonight I leave for London..I leave on the 16th March 2009, I left 11th Novemeber 2008 and because of the time difference I arrive on the 16th March 2009. In my 4 months I have been in India, Australia and China...I have officially given up smoking, I have officially put on 14 pounds, 1 stone, I have officialy spent more money than I intended. I have had a remarkable time, filled with adventure, self evaluation and confusion...I don't know where I want to live or what I want to do...I know I like warmth and light and like minded people and a colourful world with lots of nationalities. I will continue this later!

Party sur le bateau

They had a party on board last night, not cos I was leaving, but because they had been here for 2 months and they didn't know their neighbours..hard to borrow a cup of sugar! So they arrive, on the Sam Pan, not all at the same time..there is the vet, the woman who owns the barbeque shop, the Norwegians, the Western Australians, the Australians, the men with their Filipino wives, or Thai wives or Japanese wives or other Asian wives...I really can't remember any of their names, but they ate and we catered in a very Jewish way..egg and onion, bruchetta etc. The alchohol was in the jacuzzi, or what will be the jacuzzi...people were nosing around talking about this boat, that junk..how they all belong to the club across the harbour. Siggy (the bulldog) snored really loudly, he wasn't interested in anything other than food, and they all made a fuss of him. I thought of the Asians, that would rather have him cooking in their pot, than lounging around on deck. Niel was selling his website on UFO's lots seemed to be interested, Jackie was trying to remember names, and some of the older woman were lusting after Zak, the Gould's 16year old...they were oohing at the young handsome flesh. Lots were going off to a Pirate party one row down...this boat is row 2B....it is highly social Hong Kong...but I feel it is transient, some have been here for 10 years, but I didn't feel forever. Niel's mother thinks he will see his old age here.

Hong Kong

Velly cool on da chip

Live on sea

me think so hip

call me taxi

misa Sam Pan

me like chopping

Hong Kong when I can.

Yes Hong Kong is shop city..... Wake up on the Gould's House Boat in Aberdeen Harbour...Monica the Filipino helper arrives by Sam Pan...the dog Siggy (a huge snoring farting Bulldog) is still sleeping on the little boat that takes us back and forth from the mainland. There are quite a few staying here at the moment, I am sleeping off the lounge in the study...when I look out the porthole I have yachts and water all around me....very calming. I sleep well on board, until I have to pee in the middle of the night, and then I need my glasses to read which button I must press to flush. Last night we caught a Sam Pan to eat at the local restaurant.my friend Jackie shows me her mobile with taxi numbers, Sam Pan with dog, Sam Pan Granny, Sam Pan with dog husband...last nigt we went with Sam Pan poodle, dog with very smart outfit, who pisses on the mat where the customers stand to get into the boat...I guess when a dog has to go a dog has to go. We had an amazing meal, Niel speaks a mean Mandarin, he probably was taking in Cantonese, anyway it was impressive...he ordered prawns, some sea cockroaches ( they look like that) some abalone and scallops.... they gave us mango jelly to cool the palate

Perth Festival

Last night was just amazing....drummer Tony Allen and a group of incredibly talented musicians...we rocked our socks at Beck's Music Box and it was packed, there is a whole alternative crowd that lives here yay!......I also nearly lost my life...cousin Steven and I had walked to the Swan River, before we took our sofas...(yes the music venue has sofas). Returning I crossed the highway and genuinely thought there was only one lane, so when the car passed me and I decided to move..a 4 wheeler was coming the other way...Steven grabbed my shoulder, the car which was travelling fast skidded up on to the curb...it was not until interval that I realised that I would have spoilt the night, let alone my holiday....a poignant end to the blog..IT REALLY WAS CLOSE.
Then I was taken to A " Perth Experience" out in the sticks...Alfred's Kitchen.....it is a hamburger joint playing music from Bowie and a huge fire in the middle on the pavement, where you sit and eat your hamburgers.....my bugs were in heaven....a food fest!

Bug One or Bug 3or Bahgwan

I am afraid I have changed my name to Bug 3...yep that is what has been diagnosed, 3 little bloody bacteria's in the my stomach, have taken up residence...and they are not moving....we send down the mighty anti B's and even the 4th lot are not having much success. I am now trying to starve them out...taken away the meat, the cheese, the chicken, the sweets, the bread.....so last night I sneak in a glass of Sauvignon Plonk...and they are happy as Larry, pissed as farts and start attacking aimlessly......my stomach blows up like a fat balloon, I am in agony.......they are still winning. I even changed my flight to fight the war...I will get them in the end but they are a strong force!!!! One positve thing is that I won't forget India in a hurry...because they seemed to have decided to visit Australia and come with me...how dare they! No wonder I am overweight, not one but 3 free loaders! Yours truly Bag3

Soweto Gospel Choir on Acid

The House of the Holy Afro...what a brilliant show...to break the image of all African stereo types...coloured Afro wigs..men in high heels wearing, funky felt skirts...it was Rocky Horror goes Soweto..I lurved it...but the comments around!. Next to me sat two older (my age) ex Australian beauty queens, good figures, and died blond hair (like mine)..."Well honestly this is not what I expected, I thought they'd play drums and do something a bit more African"...on my left sat the 'Baitz's' friends, a very funny conservative couple from Joeys....Jo Anne bent forward to ask them how they were enjoying this piece and Elaine said "I hate it, we really hate it" So SA cannot jump into the year 2009 without some flack..those that live in other countries and miss their little ole South Africa, want little ole fashioned Zulu dancing, with swinging beads and boobs. The crowd in front were going beserk, us on stands, clapped politely. Then I decided to go down....the others followed. Here was the pulse of Africa going straight for the jugular...There was the most beautiful couple on the dance floor, he tall, handsome, black with dreads, she tall gorgeous with her very own Anjolina lips....I had hoped they lived here in Perth, but I think they might have been crew.....I could have stayed to party and shake that bootie, which one is invited to after the show..but my partners in crime and their mates had had enough.....I felt proud to have been born in Africa man!

Oh quaint Perth

Now you go to a world class musical performance by Seckou Keita...from Senegal...the unique sound is mind blowing and really tuneful and evocative.....gush, gush...and it is almost in your front lounge. These big Australian cities, with very few people. Perth Festival they erect a temporary amphi theatre, which is half a white marquee and there are sofas, for those who come early and then rows of chairs. The concert was so intimate....I had gone out earlier to look at the Perth' Eye' white in the sky and to get a little stoned, on Oz gold and herbal....only joking! and I returned to make myself comfortable on my own fake suede sofa...now this is about lifestyle, surely.....at one point I went to the toilet and thought I was on a moving train...was this the Oz gold or the antibiotic I was on...now for the 4th time to get rid of my amoeba! I had my blood tests, to find out my cholestral has gone too high and my liver is looking a bit peaky from the dodgy gut....now they wanted a POOH Test...surely not...shirley not...I am a grown up woman, not me poohing into a small plastic jar, fresh out the plastic, shawly not me! Back on the sofa the crown of my head begins to hurt...what is it with me.....back home drinking tea and rusks...we get a little hysterical, Jo Anne says Steven was on the same antibiotic, and he lost the plot. Well I can't remember anything and start telling them if I was to have a tattoo it would be a "V" engraved on one buttock cheek and the other would have "W" so that when you bend over it says VOW...we are hysterical. I can't work Australia out, but the concert was really amazing.....so they do come all this way....most of the people there where over 40.....My cousins tell me that everyone leaves Perth when they are 20 and they return at 50.....well maybe this is a very well kept secret!
